Model is 180cms/5'10" tall and wears size M.
I love the thick cotton-base feel of this hoodie, the colour, style and features. The wind resistance is a plus that you don’t often find in snow hoodies.
It was sold to me as being water resistant however it has little if any DWR on it. Snow actively accumulates on the sleeves and then soaks in when it melts. I had a soggy bottom the day I wore it on the outside. The water/snow resistance on Yuki Threads hoodies far outperforms Bataleon. An expensive hoodie for casual wear, not a legit riding sweater. At least it looks good.
I really like the fact that it is as soft as a cotton hoodie, but with the water resistant properties. It has a nice weight to it as well. I wish there were more color or I would get more.
This hoodie is sick. I’ve worn it on powder days, when it’s negative temps and windy, or when it’s warm and sunny. It keeps me warm and dry the whole time, it fits perfectly. The hood is big enough to cover my helmet. The vents on the side are just enough to let air in if I want it. Overall it’s truly a perfect combo of everything I want out of a snowboard jacket. It’s absolutely my favorite hoodie I own, both for being on the mountain, and the apres ski scene at the end of the day.
I can’t front, I was skeptical on purchasing yet another snowboarding hoodie but I couldn’t be more glad that I copped this one. The wind proof liner really does make all the difference (I just put it through the test on a chilly/slightly windy day in Mammoth and was impressed). Also, the zippered vents come in clutch and work well for whenever the pits are whining and you need to air them out. I was super stoked when I saw the hoodie has a zipper pocket on the left arm (it’s not shown in the picture like the Delta hoodie), but it’s perfect for keeping your pass and some sun bum chap stick tucked away. It’s replacing a 686 hoodie as my new favorite snow hoodie!
Not your typical hoodie! Quality, construction, & style will make this your go-to on those warmer days. They run large in my opinion, so you may want to size down if you like a more athletic fit. I’m 6’ - 185 and normally wear a large, I think I would’ve been fine with a medium. As usual, Bataleon for the W!!!
