SoftStiff

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won't kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Shape

Outline Shape

Nose Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most affected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile than others.

Camber Profile

Low Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ & Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Features

Technology Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping 3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction

Glassing Glassing

Bi-Ax Lamination

A traditional two-way weave that is light, strong and playful; it keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for getting creative.

Woodcore Woodcore

Core Core

Full poplar with hardwood beech stringers to strengthen the boards backbone, reinforce the inserts and increase pop.

Base Base

Hyper Glide S

Our standard sintruded base that’s durable and fast – and even faster when you keep it waxed.

Sidewalls Sidewalls

Flex Walls

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak, season after season.

Inserts Inserts

A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.

Great board, super light and flexible I bought it just for ground tricks after doing a lot of research and testing some boards I was very impressed by it. 💯

148 Disaster

Super fun board, very flexy flexy, forgiving and an attention-getter. Everyone loves this thing. Very light. This is my first true camber board and I can press it as well as my old v-rocker Joystick. I paired it with Union Flight Pro bindings and I'm a happy camper.

Disaster 157

Super fun, soft buttery board, This thing is like a cheat code! Great for park. I would recommend something stiffer for all-mtn or larger park jumps. Love the 3BT, should have gotten one of these years ago!

A bit too soft for me.. no pop!

Exactly what I wanted.

Usually ride directional twins on the stiffer side. Wanted a true twin on the flexy side to adventure into the butter and jib worlds. Usually ride 163w (I’m 6’3 200 lbs) and got a 156w. The low camber is poppy but forgiving. And despite it being super flexy, holds a sharp edge and still cruises at speed. Different at first but once I got used to it it’s INCREDIBLE. Totally recommend it !

No edge fear

The Disaster is simply amazing. The 3BT shape allowes you to be creative as much as you want without the fear of catching an edge, especially for the butter tricks and ollies this board is made for it.
Super happy to have it! Thank you Bataleon

A Must Have!!!

I purchased the regular disaster 2023 and discovered how much fun Bataleon brand is so I had to get the disaster + just to have a little more stiffness at high speeds .. I’m 5’6”135lb ride 148 .. Been snowboarding for 20+ years wish would tried these boards a long time ago .. It’s amazing how effortlessly these boards float n turn and you don’t have to worry about catching edges.. I’m Hooked

2023 (not so) Disaster review

After renting snowboard gear for nearly 10 years, I finally committed to finally buying my own setup last year, my only regret is that I didn't shell out the money sooner. The silver lining is that I ended up buying a 2023 Disaster that checked all my boxes - aesthetics, conducive to my riding style and quality. Customer service is super helpful too, had one of my foam pads stolen at Big Bear during lunch and got that replaced with a rep.

First but not last Bataleon

Disaster
I been wanting a fun flexible board since my riding consist of butters and some jibs. This board is so soft, but is so much fun. 3BT technology is amazing. Not having to worry about catching an edge while spinning around.
This board is not meant for going fast. It can carve decently, but it requires using a lot of force.
With this purchase I will be looking for an all mountain board to carve on. I already know which Bataleon board I'm going to get.

Bataleon Disaster 👾

The Bataleon Disaster Snowboard is my absolute favorite for park riding. Due to its soft flex and playful feel it is incredibly fun for jibbing and gives confidence to hit new features. This board is forgiving, making it great for me to play around . I've had some of my most memorable sessions on this board—it just encourages you to push your limits. Despite its focus on freestyle, it also handles surprisingly well on general runs and it feels great to race down your ski homies. Shred on!

Love this board

I got this board because I wanted a fun board and saw the reviews. What a purchase! It just felt like it was a part of me as a rode. O felt like I could do anything. It was bumpier as I rode fast down a hill, but at no point did I feel out of control. Love it!

Now I’m no expert rider but this thing is soft but springy at the same time, butters and jibs with ease, then go throw down some all mountain features. Versatility is the boards name.

The Disaster is anything but...

Really enjoying my new snowboard. At first there were some issues with the snowboard but I told Bataleon and they replaced it immediately.

Not the best on ice, but what board is? Amazing in powder and for doing tricks

So fun!

I’ve got the evil twin+, surfer and disaster I love these boards. They’re so smooth and fun. I doubt I’ll ever ride anything else for the rest of my days. Disaster is great for butters and still hits the rest of the mountain just fine.

In its inaugural test during a blizzard, this snowboard showcased remarkable performance in powder and at high speeds. Initially skeptical of the 3BT feature, I was pleasantly surprised upon trying it myself. The sensation of nearly catching an edge only to effortlessly recover added a thrilling dimension to the ride. With its impressive pop, this board proved to be incredibly enjoyable. I'm genuinely pleased with my choice.

Great board!

This board is fun in the park and on the side of the groomers. Makes slicking the landing easy. My 14 year old son is always asking if we can switch boards because mine is more fun.

Best board I've ever had

If you're a playful rider, this is the one. I haven't felt this strongly about a board in years and now I don't ride my other ones. It's soft enough to butter, poppy enough to ollie, it's light af, and it's forgiving (read: not trying to kill me everytime I try something new). Helped me improve so much already... Incredible park board! But it also does surprisingly well all over the mountain. Tested it in powder, boardercross, ice. It's not designed for those things but it's still so so so enjoyable to ride. I love the board and this year's graphic so much I'm contemplating buying a second one for next seasons... If like me you watched/read a million reviews and still not sure I can't see anyone being dissapointed in this board. If this helps someone choose, I'm 165cm and 65kg (probs +2 or 3kg in winter haha). I bought it primarily for park and downsized to 144cm. It's perfect. Spins sooo easy. Mind you I like softer flex. My allmountain/park board last year was Ride Zero 147cm and I found it too stiff. Had to battle it to butter. Solid board, very aggressive and edgy, but not for my style of riding. Long story short, now that I have the disaster I'm selling the Zero. I also tried Feelbetter 146, Salomon Oh yeh 147 this year and Rumblefish 148, Capita Birds of feather 146 last year. All solid choices, but not nearly as exciting for me as the Disaster <3
